Synopsis
The great Tallulah Bankhead stars as wealthy Carol Morgan, a giddy heiress who spurns the affections of Bill Wade (Robert Montgomery) because he earns a mere $20,000 a year. But when Morgan loses her fortune in the Depression, rather than accepting the man who truly loves her, she becomes the mistress of a still-wealthy, abusive man she does not love.
