Synopsis
Los Angeles 1948, one day in October. Detective Jake Gittes is visited in his office by a real estate developer, Jake Berman, who suspects his young wife, Kitty, of cheating on him. A dark story begins which will take Jake Gites back eleven years, to the tragic death of the beautiful Evelyn Mulwray, to the drama of Chinatown.
