Synopsis
In the 16th century, Lord Hidetora decided to retire and divide his domain between his three sons, Taro, Jiro and Saburo. The latter, foreseeing difficulties, opposes this decision. He is deprived. But the father soon discovers that, flouting his authority, his first two sons are fighting each other. Jiro treacherously murders Taro and then Saburo, before discovering that the person responsible for this mess is none other than Taro's widow who has sworn to avenge the murder of her family by Hidetora years before. From then on, all that remains for Jiro to do is die fighting against the enemies of the Hidetora clan.
