Synopsis
Against a sum of 5,000 dollars, Tom Ripley is commissioned by an American billionaire, Mr. Greenleaf, to bring his son Philippe back to San Francisco, who is spending too long a vacation in Italy with his mistress Marge. Tom enters into the intimacy of the couple and becomes Philippe's handyman who involves him in all his adventures without ceasing to despise him. It is then that Tom kills Philippe and usurps his identity. Everything seems to be working. Just as he is about to marry Marge, Philippe reappears.
