Synopsis
 Jefferson Smith is much loved by the Boys Rangers, a young boys' club he leads. This popular and naive man is business for Governor Hopper and his political boss Jim Taylor, who make him an ideal senator to cover up their dark histories. Mr. Smith then quickly becomes the laughingstock of Congress and is, despite himself, compromised in a shady affair. After a moment of discouragement and thanks to his secretary, he speaks in the Senate and keeps it for twenty-three hours!
