Synopsis
Marc Kelber, an experienced art dealer, is fooled by Jacques Lacroix, a crook who sells him a fake Gauguin. When he discovers the deception, he goes in search of it. Lacroix then offered him a deal: to join forces with his gang, which included a painter forger, Claude Watroff, to have the latter execute copies of Gauguin's originals that Lacroix had inherited, and succeed in selling them to experts. Kelber agrees. But, very quickly, Watroff feels remorse and starts drinking. Kelber and Lacroix then plan to eliminate their sidekick.
