Memorabilia is the foam of my memories. What remains when we eliminate the superfluous, the tedious, the uninteresting and sometimes the unpleasant. Nothing is invented, everything really happened to me, but consciously or not, I did a little “editing” to eliminate the lengths, repetitions and other dross that make up most of our lives as human beings. I worked for more than 35 years in the world of cinema or television, wrote around a hundred screenplays, directed a good twenty films and television films myself. I met exceptional personalities. Exciting, fragile moments, of which I was the spectator and sometimes one of the actors. It's not about talking about me, at least not directly, rather “in the background”. To pose as a witness, as a narrator of my own experience through others. Memorabilia is not really a dictionary, rather a mosaic of faces, moments, real relationships or simple minutes – even seconds – stolen here and there… Is it all true? Yes, absolutely. Is everything perfectly correct? Probably not 100%. Memory tends to embellish, to “script” reality… That's good: it's my job to tell stories that arouse interest.
