Invisible since its VHS release in the 80s, this excellent 1976 Spanish film mixing political thriller and survival is to be rediscovered urgently thanks to this Carlotta Blu-ray edition available here.
Synopsis
Somewhere in South America, a dictator reigns terror. Aristides Ungria, a brilliant mathematician, finds himself spending several years behind bars in San Justo prison. After a first unsuccessful escape attempt, a new chance presents itself to him. Hunted by Sancho and his imposing German shepherd, Aristides will however manage to put the soldier out of harm's way, who will before dying order his dog to kill the fugitive. Obsessed with revenge, the fearsome animal will then embark on a hunt to the death.
