Synopsis
At the dawn of a new war against the Sioux and the Cheyenne, General McCabe takes command of a column of freshly trained soldiers. So many young men that he will not hesitate, like the previous ones, to sacrifice to defeat the enemy. To take all the credit for a victory, he divides his forces by ordering Captain Harrod, a lucid officer increasingly hostile to his authority, to pursue a group of Indians. A diversionary maneuver which exposes him all the more dangerously as he is not waiting for General Hoffmann's reinforcements.
