Synopsis
Theatrical season 1930. The "King of Paris" is the great Victor Derval who reigns supreme on the Boulevard and lives surrounded by his court: a theater director, his faithful dresser, a fallen marquis and freeloader, and his former mistress and stage partner. He is accosted by Lisa, a young foreigner who has come to try her luck as an actress in Paris. Seduced, Derval hires her and installs her in his home where she meets her son. Father and son quickly come to argue over her love.
