Synopsis
Gotho, a hunchbacked wretch, is employed in the morgue of a hospice. He takes care of the most menial tasks, to the laughter of all the staff. Madly in love with a patient, he takes care of her as much as he can. Alas, she does not survive her illness, which plunges Gotho into grief. Desperate, he hides the beauty in the basement of the morgue. An unscrupulous doctor promises to bring her back to life. But, in exchange, he must help him in his research: Gotho must bring back fresh corpses.
