Synopsis
Three spacecraft leave Russia bound for Venus. As the planet approaches, a ship is destroyed, another remains in orbit, and the last manages to land. The cosmonauts, including an American and his robot "John", leave to explore the planet. As they encounter strange and disturbing creatures, a volcano erupts.
