Synopsis
Having just married an old aristocrat, Susan comes to live in the family mansion. Of a very prudish nature, she gradually falls prey to horrible nightmares, mixing violence and pleasure. Her fears are heightened when she learns the tragic story of Carmilla, an ancestor of the family, who murdered her husband with a dagger. One day, her husband discovers a young woman buried on the beach. The latter, who calls herself Carmilla, extends her power and hold over Susan.
