Synopsis
Financed by André Citroën, this expedition must link Beirut to Beijing in half-track vehicles. A first group led by Haardt left Lebanon on April 4, 1931, and had to find the group that had left Beijing and led by Audouin-Dubreuil halfway. Filmed by André Sauvage, this extraordinary epic, at the same time adventurous, scientific and promotional, made it possible both to follow the adventures of an expedition which was long and difficult and to discover the countries crossed such as Iran, India , China, the diversity of landscapes, people and cultures over the 30,000 km of a route that partly takes the Silk Road.
