Synopsis
In the small town of Vigevano, the Lombard shoe capital, Antonio Monbelli earns his living as a teacher. But he has to face the daily complaints of his wife who aspires to a better lifestyle. One day, she finds a job as a worker in a small factory in the city. For Monbelli, it is both an affront, a shame and the beginning of a questioning.
