Synopsis
The evening and then the night of June 16, 1816, on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. In his luxurious villa, Lord Byron receives several guests including Mary Shelley and her husband, the poet Percy Shelley, as well as Doctor Polidori, his damned soul. On the initiative of the latter, hosts and guests embark on a contest of Gothic horror stories which soon encroach on reality, the imaginary under opiate of each one dangerously overflowing its usual limits. Even more than her companions, Mary Shelley lives her nightmares, these becoming all the more frightening as she feels them as if they were really taking shape.
