Synopsis
Ren and his mother Ethel leave Chicago for Beaumont, a small town in the Midwest. Passionate about rock and a frantic dancer, Ren clashes with the moral conceptions of the community and of his pastor, the place's thought leader. Revolted by this sclerosing universe, the young people of the city rally to Ren.
