Synopsis
Jack Lucas hosts an aggressive radio program in New York, followed by a large number of listeners, including a number of cranks. One of them, Edwin Malnick, taking Jack's diatribe against the "yuppies" at his word, armed himself with a rifle and shot several patrons of a fancy bar, including the wife of a young professor, Henry Sagan. Filled with remorse, Jack abandons his show and sinks into alcoholism.
