Synopsis
Sole heir to his family, nurtured by his grandmother since childhood, Pei Gang became a tyrant and a bully as an adult. After committing three cold-blooded murders, he is arrested and sentenced to death. His execution is scheduled for the following fall, as tradition demands. His grandmother has less than a year to move heaven and earth and free her grandson. As the hope of an acquittal grows dim, she goes to make sure Pei Gang conceives an heir to carry on the family line.
