Entering with a bang into the universal cinematographic imagination, almost 40 years ago, thanks to an ontological misunderstanding, Sylvester Stallone quickly abandoned his authorizing ambitions to take advantage and advantages of his status as a brutal, primitive and planetary. Although the almost total absence of analytical literature of his career suggests the contrary, there would undoubtedly be much to say about the invariants of the production of the filmmaker Stallone. However, we may prefer to imagine what place his films – and, as long as we enter the sphere of intimacy, his own, those he has made – could have occupied, in a more or less pregnant way, in the life of those who have seen them.
