Synopsis
Devoured by his job, cynical and violent, Sergeant Lloyd Hopkins of the Los Angeles Criminal Brigade investigates the murder of a woman in a luxurious Hollywood apartment. An isolated act at first sight, but the discovery of a poem written in blood by the killer directs the policeman towards a series of murders committed fifteen years earlier and all obeying an abominable ritual of torture. In his element in the heart of this backwater populated by prostitutes, dealers and perverts of the worst kind, Hopkins quickly realizes that this time he is rubbing shoulders with a killer very different from the others.
