Synopsis
Madrid. In the midst of the Spanish Civil War, a clown is forcibly recruited by the Republican troops. Cruel, he massacred nationalist fighters with a machete before being arrested and detained. He will leave only one instruction to his son, an ultimate guarantee of happiness: revenge. Years later, his son, Javier, who has become a clown like his father, is engaged in a circus dominated by Sergio. We are at the end of the Franco era, in 1973. The two clowns, one sad, the other Auguste, are going to engage in a deadly battle to win the heart of a beautiful acrobat, Natalia.
