- Love Unto Waste (1991):
Three young women from Taiwan arrive in Hong Kong with the firm intention of becoming famous. They meet a young man in a bar with whom they become friends and share moments of intimacy. Until the day one of them is found dead. A police inspector leads the investigation and seeks to understand what really linked the four friends deeply affected by the disappearance of the young woman.

Having become the first true star of Chinese cinema, Ruan Ling Yun began her career at the age of 7. Poor, she turned into an icon adored by thousands of admirers.
