Synopsis
Joe Lampton arrives in a small industrial town in Yorkshire with the ambition to quickly climb the social ladder. He thus decides to undertake the conquest of Susan, the only daughter of the wealthiest man in town. It is then that Joe meets Alice, a married woman who becomes his mistress and with whom he has a passionate relationship.
