Synopsis
Zhang Baomin is a hot-blooded mute miner working away from home. Learning of the disappearance of his son, he returns to his village in Inner Mongolia. In Baotou, the situation has not changed and he finds the same protests against the local mines as when he was younger. But under the leadership of the wealthy Chang Wannian, the mine continues to grow. Baomin is then gradually convinced that he is responsible for the disappearance of his son and realizes that a much more complex plot has been set up. Violence will then unleash.
