Synopsis
Edo period, Japan. Ninko is a virtuous young Buddhist monk. Studious and dedicated, he does not however manage to reach nirvana because he has an irresistible power of seduction with women and even some men. Exasperated, Ninko undertakes a journey to "purify" himself, hoping to cure this very strange illness. Along the way he meets the samurai Kanzo and hears of a village being decimated by the mountain goddess Yama-onna, who kills men to absorb their energy.
