Synopsis
In the heart of the remote hills of an Indonesian island, Marlina, a young widow, lives alone. One day a gang comes to attack her, rape her and rob her of her cattle. She manages to kill several of these men, including their leader. Determined to obtain justice, she embarks on a journey towards her own emancipation.
