Synopsis
A young man is committed to a psychiatric hospital. Through a flashback we see that he was traumatized as a child, when he and his family were circus performers: he saw his father cut off his mother's arms, religious fanatic and church leader heretic of Santa Sangre ("Holy Blood"), then committing suicide. Back in the present, he escapes and reunites with his surviving, armless mother. Against her will, he "become her weapons" and the two embark on a macabre campaign of murder and revenge.
