Synopsis
For generations, each eldest daughter of the Nomed (backward: Demon) family has been possessed by an evil, demonic creature held prisoner in a mausoleum.
Directed by Michael Dugan, Mausoleum caused a sensation at the Paris International Fantastic Film Festival in 1983, where it won the special jury prize as well as the prize for best actress. We find the alluring scream queen, Bobbie Bresee ( Ghoulies, Surf Nazis Must Die, Evil Spawn ) and Marjoe Gortner (the hero of Star Crash ). But Mausoleum is also and perhaps even above all impressive prosthetic makeup designed by an undisputed master of special effects: John Carl Buechler ( Ghoulies, Re-Animator, From Beyond, Friday the 13th chapter 7, Halloween 4 or Freddy's Nightmare ). Originally published in France and on videocassette by Super Video Productions (Sergio Gobbi).
