Synopsis
Mayor of a town in New England, rogue Frank Skeffington is seeking a fifth term. He embarks on a fierce campaign at the end of which he is given the loser. Against him, a candidate supported by the big industrialists of the region and another, younger, who uses modern means, Skeffington does not however admit defeat.
