Synopsis
Pianist and composer "Ghost" Wakefield leads a jazz quintet, which struggles to find success despite the talent of the musicians. These often have to content themselves with playing in deserted squares or for charity galas. At a party, Ghost meets Jess Polanski, a singer accompanied by Benny, their common impresario. He decides to compose a song for her.
