Synopsis
A beautiful young woman travels through time using hypnosis. She is sent back to ancient times where she is accused of being a witch and sentenced to death.
With his film THE UNDEAD, Roger CORMAN rubs shoulders with the genre of reincarnation films that were very fashionable at the end of the 1950s.
It is an adaptation of the incredible story of Bridey Murphy which hit the headlines in the United States in 1952. Morey Bernstein, amateur hypnotist, plunges his wife into semi-consciousness and it is then that she finds herself in the skin of Bridey Murphy, an Irishwoman who lived in the 19th century. Although she gives specific details about her so-called past life, journalists have tried to debunk it.
Strange facts that have inspired many directors, including Noel Langley who directed THE SEARCH FOR BRIDEY MURPHY in 1956.
