Ludovic Fumet ( Charles DENNER ), cellist and frustrated musician, lends himself to an experience that will temporarily make him deaf. Surprised by the benefits of this sudden deafness, Ludovic is internally delighted to no longer suffer from the banal family conversations and the noise attacks of everyday life. The musician settles in with delight in his new life until the day he regains his hearing. He then decides to simulate his disability with his relatives and set up an insurance scam with his lawyer.
