Synopsis
Autumn 1952, in the middle of the Indochina war. A young American, idealistic, in charge of a humanitarian mission, arrives in Saigon, at the height of the Vietnamese resistance against the French colonial presence. He sympathizes with the English reporter Thomas Fowler, for whom Vietnam has no more secrets. But he is soon attracted by Phuong, the latter's young Vietnamese mistress, as beautiful and mysterious as the city and Saigon.
