Synopsis
1840, in the Tyrolean Alps, the young and pretty Wally is the only daughter of a farmer. She works like a man to help her father and spends her free time in the mountains, trying to catch a glimpse of Joseph, a hunter, whom she secretly loves. One day, she manages to capture a vulture, which provokes Joseph's contempt and his father's admiration. The latter then wants to marry her to Vinzenz, a neighboring farmer. Wally refuses and, driven out by her father, takes refuge in the mountains where she goes to live with her vulture.
