Synopsis
Los Angeles, 1968. Captain in the Marines, Bob Hyde leaves to fight in Vietnam. Wanting to make herself useful in the absence of her husband, Sally volunteers at the veterans' hospital where she finds a former high school friend, Luke Martin, who has become a paraplegic. This broken man, subject to multiple outbursts of anger, gradually regains a taste for life in contact with the young woman.
