Synopsis
For stealing bread, Jean Valjean was sentenced to prison where he remained for twenty years. He leaves in despair. Fortunately, he meets Monsignor Myriel; which, although he stole it, grants him his favor. Through work, Valjean became a wealthy man. Benefactor of a city, his fellow citizens elected him mayor. He is interested in the case of Fantine, a poor seduced girl, forced into prostitution to raise her little Cosette.
