Synopsis
 Three men in a Chevrolet shoot an American in the middle of Pigalle. When a witness approaches to help the victim, the latter has disappeared, carried away by a mysterious white DS. Superintendent Maigret first goes to the United States Embassy where a diplomat advises him not to take care of the matter… It doesn't take much for Maigret to see red.
