Synopsis
The city of Venice is the target of regular attacks by a band of pirates, under the impotence of the doges. The son of one of them, Manrico, during the ball in honor of his engagement with Isabella, suffers a new attack. The same evening, he gathers some friends and decides to take action to put an end to this predation.
