Synopsis
Among the most talented and devious lawyers of his generation, Ben Chase managed the feat of wresting from a jury the acquittal of Martin Thiel, a rich playboy accused of several murders. When, at the end of the sentence, he understands that his client is indeed guilty of these crimes, a serious question of conscience arises for him.
