Synopsis
- The cry of the wolf:
Writer and former hunter John Wetherby is called in to investigate a series of violent murders. The clues are very strange, as the tracks left at the scene of the murders are those of a half-human wolf. The locals are beginning to believe it's a werewolf. Wetherby contacts his old friend Byron Douglas to help him track down this mysterious killer who once was bitten by a wolf. A night hunt begins, with an unexpected conclusion.

Bitten by a wolf during a trip to Hungary, Jack Whittier falls under the yoke of a curse. Upon his return to the United States, he became the President's assistant. At the same time, strange murders are committed in Washington.
