Synopsis
In 1801, for having murdered twelve young women, the thirteenth, Béatrice de Brabant having escaped, Count Regula was condemned to be quartered in a public square. Before his ordeal, he promises to return for revenge. 35 years later, the lawyer Roger de Mont-Elise receives an invitation to the castle of Andomai, residence of the Regula family. Along the way, he saves a young woman from an attack by bandits: Lilian de Brabant, also invited to the castle.
