Synopsis
During the first Crusade, Godefroy de Bouillon and his army prepare to besiege Jerusalem, in order to deliver it from the infidels. The Crusader Tancred takes two women prisoner: Herminie, the daughter of the Prince of Antioch, and Clorinde. The latter lets herself be seduced by Tancred. Jealous, Herminie denounces her as an ally of the Muslims.
