Synopsis
- Zombie Hell (1979)
A seemingly abandoned boat drifts in New York Harbor. The coastguards intervene and are attacked by a monstrous creature which lay hidden there. Thinking that the sailboat is that of her missing father, Anne goes to the Caribbean, in search of it. Accompanied by a journalist friend, she lands on a reputedly cursed island where Doctor Ménard lives. The latter explains that, for some time, the dead have been coming back to life to devour the living.
- The Beyond (1981)
New Orleans in 1927, the painter Schweick was lynched in a hotel by the population for having painted a fresco representing Hell. Some fifty years later, Liza Merril inherited this hotel and undertook to renovate it. But, very quickly, tragic events follow one another, and the workers die in mysterious circumstances. Then, Liza meets Emily, a young blind person, who warns her against this cursed place: the hotel would house one of the seven gates of Hell of which the painter martyr would be the guardian.
- Scares (1980)
In the cemetery of Dunwich, a priest commits suicide by hanging, which has the effect of opening the gates of hell, and releasing the living dead on earth. During a seance of spiritualism, the pretty Marie succumbs to fright after having received the vision of the death of the priest. But she is not really dead, and is barely saved, before her burial, by Peter, a journalist. The two then go to Dunwich: the gates of hell must be closed before All Saints Day, in three days. If they fail, the dead will rise from their graves and invade the earth.
