Synopsis
A Vigilante in the City (1974)
When he learns of the death of his wife, beaten to death, and the rape of his daughter, traumatized for life, the architect Paul Kersey contains his pain, his anger. If he first takes refuge in work, the gun offered to him by a Texan client decides his fate. Armed, more and more sure of his gestures, Kersey wanders at night in the most disreputable neighborhoods of New York, shooting down all those who pose a threat to him and to society...

- A Vigilante in the city 2 (1982)

Five years after cleaning the streets of New York from its less frequent fauna, Paul Kersey leads a peaceful existence in Los Angeles, with a new companion, a journalist. But, again, fate hits him hard. Abducted and raped by a gang of thugs, her daughter commits suicide. Overwhelmed, he finds his attackers one by one and, in cold blood, applies the supreme punishment to them.

- The New York Vigilante (A Vigilante in the City 3) (1985)
Determined to settle down, Paul Kersey arrives in New York to visit his friend Charley. But the reunion is short-lived: Kersey arrives just in time to collect the last words of Charley, attacked by thugs. Arrested by the police, Kersey has no difficulty in identifying himself but heavy presumptions of guilt continue to weigh on him. Once released, Kersey agrees to help the police clear the neighborhood of delinquents, gangsters, and drug addicts.

- The vigilante robs the dealers (1987)
Still haunted by the nightmare of the tragedies he once lived through, Paul Kersey now lives with Karen and her daughter, Erica. But the teenager succumbed one day to an overdose. Paul is quick to identify and kill the responsible dealer. He is soon contacted by a certain Nathan White, who has experienced a tragedy identical to his and offers him to put an end to the actions of the two gangs which control the local drug market. He offers to finance this crusade entirely and gives him files on the dealers and their leaders. Paul immediately gets to work...

- The Justice: The Last Stand (1994)
Paul Kersey has decided to forget his past for good. Professor of architecture, he meets Olivia and experiences a love he no longer believed in. But Olivia's ex-husband is none other than Tommy O'Shea, a notorious gangster. Because she threatens him to testify in court, Tommy disfigures her. Kersey contains her anger and proposes to her. But it is shot down by O'Shea's men. From now on, nothing will stop Paul.
