Synopsis
The young Tino arrives in Venice where he will be lodged by his uncle and his wife, in a once splendid palace, now dilapidated. Her aunt, unsure of herself, welcomes her warmly; his uncle quickly appears tyrannical and distant. At night, Tino hears strange footsteps that seem to come from the attic, then a melody played on a piano. Curious to know what is happening in this mysterious palace, he gradually discovers a past that continues to haunt those who live there.
