Synopsis
The whole town of Abilene celebrates the arrival of the railroad. If Windy Miller suggests that he has made a strong contribution for the good of the community, he above all pursues a personal objective: to enrich himself, even if it means crushing those who constitute an obstacle. Thus, he forces the hand of Texan breeders to buy their cattle at very low prices and to convey them by his own means. New in town, Dan Thomas and Tod Ramsey, former Confederate soldiers, jeopardize his plans.
