Synopsis
On a remote Greek island, a disparate group of people are scared. The plague has arrived on the island, making them virtual prisoners, and then there is talk of the vorvolakas, a vampire-like creature that preys on the living. Among the prisoners is General Nikolas Pherides (Boris Karloff), nicknamed the Watchdog, who is startled when he visits his wife's mausoleum to find her empty tomb. As many of these quarantined people die of the plague, paranoia sets in creating a tense atmosphere full of fear.
