The city is changing, but it's an unseen transformation that won't be noticed until it has evolved into an unstoppable force. A rat has attacked a passenger on the city subway, and just downtown another unsuspecting victim is bitten by a ravenous rodent. As darkness falls over the city, emergency response teams struggle to contain what appears to be a rapidly spreading virus that is metamorphosing the helpless denizens into a bizarre new species. The streets are quickly filling with these malevolent new creatures, and as a retired boxer named Clutch awaits the return of his daughter from the battlefields of Iraq, the fearless fighter and seven other evicted tenants from 51 Mulberry Street will be forced to bolt the doors, secure the windows, and take one last stand against the mindless, frenzied masses who will stop at nothing to ensure total assimilation.

Contenu

World Blu-ray premiere

Standard-definition digital transfer sourced from the original Mini-DV, approved by director Jim Mickle and encoded by Fidelity in Motion

The Neighbourhood is Changing (2026) – feature-length documentary on the making and legacy of Mulberry Street featuring new interviews with cast and crew, including director Jim Mickle, producer Linda Moran, cinematographer Ryan Samul, production designer Beth Mickle and stars Kim Blair, Ron Brice and Larry Fessenden

New audio commentary with Jim Mickle and Linda Moran

New video essay on Mulberry Street and its monsters by horror expert Stacey Abbott, author of Undead Apocalypse: Vampires and Zombies in the 21st Century (2016)

The Underdogs (2002) – short horror film by Jim Mickle, shot on 35mm and featuring Nick Damici

Tools (1995), Last Legs (1999) and The Jam (2000) – early short films by Jim Mickle

Behind-the-scenes footage

Make-up test footage

Visual effects test footage

Deleted scenes

Storyboards

Early director sketches

Optional English subtitles
