Synopsis
Sean Thornton, a former American boxer, returns to Inisfree, his native village in Ireland, with the aim of buying his family's old "cottage" to settle there permanently. He meets Mary Kate Danaher, the sister of the angry Red will Danaher who coveted the Thornton house before Sean bought it. The “yankee” nevertheless undertakes to marry Mary Kate according to the rules of Irish tradition.
